The Challenge
The client required a temporary heating solution to accelerate progress on their project, as work could not continue until a consistent warm ambient temperature had been established within the building. A fast, reliable solution was essential to minimise delays, maintain the project schedule, and create the environmental conditions needed for the next phase of construction.
Our Solution
Following a comprehensive site survey, we assessed the client’s heating requirements and recommended the most effective solution for the space. Due to the size of the area, we supplied and installed six TF18 EL electric heaters to provide consistent, even heat distribution. By working closely with the client to identify the quickest and most efficient approach, we were able to implement the solution promptly, helping them regain momentum and stay on track to meet their critical project deadline.
“Stuart Energy’s space heaters provided sufficient heat and reduced relative humidity, allowing finishes to progress while the air handling plant was not yet commissioned. They proved essential throughout the coldest months, and we will definitely use them again in the future.” – Senior Project Manager
The Results
- Heating solution remained on site for 5 months, providing continuous support throughout the project.
- Due to the effectiveness and reliability of the heaters, units were relocated across various areas of the hotel to support drying requirements.
- Assisted with drying walls, floors, and ceilings, helping to accelerate the construction project.
- Enabled the client to maintain progress and meet project requirements by providing consistent warm ambient temperatures.
- Delivered a flexible heating solution that continued to provide value beyond the original requirement.
In Summary
Stuart Energy provided a reliable and efficient temporary heating solution to support the client's hotel refurbishment project, where maintaining consistent ambient temperatures was essential to progressing works and meeting a challenging deadline. Following a detailed site survey, we identified the most effective solution and supplied six TF18 EL electric heaters to provide sufficient heat coverage across the large internal area. The installation enabled the client to continue works without delays, supporting the drying process and maintaining suitable site conditions. The success of the solution resulted in the heaters remaining on site for five months, where they were relocated throughout various areas of the hotel to assist with drying walls, floors, and ceilings. This demonstrated the flexibility, reliability, and performance of Stuart Energy's heating systems in supporting complex commercial projects from start to finish.
